One of the girls is studying to be a Make-up Artist. For her first exam she needed to create a character from a movie that is set in the 20th century. She chose Eliza from My Fair Lady and I was the one being turned into her.
Right before the exams she heard the others had costumes to help create the desired effect. Oh my. If she had chosen flowergirl Eliza I might have been able to dig something up from my closet, but she wanted Eliza at the horse races in the extravagante black and white outfit. Oh my again.
We looked for rentals, but I'm not that fair anymore and there was nothing in my size. So I had to sew something at the very last minute.
No picture with me in it, it wasn't that flattering (understatement).
I also made a hat (by covering up an old sunhat), though I never wore it (she had to fix my hair too).
We did have a happy ending luckily. She passed!
