A start

Remember that mountain of yarn? Now, it looks like this:

My fabric stash grew a little bit too. I started with part of the cupboard for my stuff, but now it's filled to the brim with my knitting and sewing.

Now that I'm finally finished untangling and winding I could start knitting again. Since there's obviously lots and lots of yarn I thought a blanket would be fun.

I know, it doesn't look like much yet. But it has to start somewhere...

A bag and a turtle

I made another bag, but I don't know what to think of it. Technical it's done well, but the colors are really boring, I think. Oh well, it was good practice.

More practicing. A turtle. I designed it myself. I like it, though I'm not sure the fabrics are safe for young children. I think I will use it as a pin cushion.

Almost 37. I think my gift for myself will to allow me be to be me. Beaded slippers, vintage skirt and vintage apron and all.

A bag

I made this bag for my mother-in-law. I'm happy to say that she liked it. (the colors are brighter in real life)

Thrifting treasures

Having my driver's license is good for thrifting. I did a little round today and found:
- a cute cup and saucer
- knitting needles and some fabric
- lots of old patterns
- a cake dish
- old neck ties (to make something like this)
